What is a Superset?

There may be a time when you have little time to get in a good workout, a superset is a great way to get in a butt kicking workout in a short period of time. A superset is when you perform two or more exercises in a row with no rest. You can superset any body parts together but its best to use opposing bodyparts, such as chest and back, biceps and triceps.

Here is example of superset workout:

Do 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps of each exercise. You will perform the A set all 3-4 sets through, then move on the B sets. This is a total body workout that can be done in 20-30 minutes!

A1. Bench Press

A2. Bent Over Rows

B1. Dumbell curls

B2. Dumbell tricep kickbacks

C1. Leg Extension

C2. Leg Curls

Craig Ballantyne is a big believer in superset workouts. He has put together many Turbulence Training workouts that include supersets in all of them. If you sign up for his TTmembers.com site, you will receive a new workout every month, and each one is more impressive than the last! I absolutely admire this man and his work!
