What Exercises Are Best For Interval Training?

First off, HIIT (high intensity interval training) is the best type of cardio to aid in fat loss. HIIT is as simple as jogging on the treadmill for 60 seconds and then sprinting for 30 seconds and repeating this for 20-30 minutes. But don’t forget your 5 minute warm up and cool down. The best exercises to do HIIT on are stationary bike, treadmill or jogging outside, elliptical and body weight exercises. Adding HIIT to your fitness routine will make sure you lose body fat! So go HIIT that bike!

I love it that you guys are talking about HIIT! I feel like I am the only one in my gym that knows about this superior way of burning body fat.
I was doing sprint intervals on a treadmill the other day…and the guy next to me said: “You look like you are in great shape…I’m surprised that you have to walk every few minutes in between the running”. Another person was trying to inform me to keep in the “target heart rate” zone to burn the most body fat!
Funny stuff!
Here is an HIIT routine I have used with a Jump Rope that has really burned the fat like crazy for me the past couple of years. If anyone hasn’t tried jumping rope as a workout…please work your way into it…you will get sore!

(sorry about the long link…I need to do something about that)
Hopefully someone will find this helpful…it certainly has worked well for me.
Good advice all throughout this site, by the way!
