What Does Your Workout Wear Look Like?

What you wear says a lot about how you feel about your self and your body. It also sets your “mindset” for how your workout will go. Looking and feeling good in your workout wear will make you feel good about who you are and what goals you are going to achieve.

Wearing clothing that allows you to view your body and SEE those parts that are starting to become more defined, will make you want to work that much harder! Allow yourself to feel confident and sexy in your workout wear! I am not saying you have to be wearing tight, skin bareing clothes, but something that allows YOU to feel amazing! Big, baggy t-shirts and your husbands sweat pants, just won’t cut it!

Here is my workout gear:

old navy tank

I love the layered, Old Navy tanks. They are so comfortable and I like how they are longer than normal tanks. No tummy hanging out with these! I don’t like to have my arms covered when I am working out, so these are perfect, plus I get so see my muscles in action when working my upper body! Most of the time, you can get them for $6-$8 at Old Navy.

workout pantsThese are Champion Bootcut Pants. I like how they fit my lower body and how they “hold” it all together! They actually fit me in the length too, which for my 5’3 size, is very hard to find! These run for $19.99 at Target.

So what does your workout wear look like? Does it make you feel sexy and confident in reaching your goals?

  1. Hey Angie,

Being a guy…I don’t think those Champion Bootcut pants are a good look for me. Plus I’m 6’3″ and they probably don’t make them in my size. If any strange guys are lurking on your site (like me for instance)…they will find some cool athletic fit Graphic T’s at Target. They are very well made and are fitted without being skin tight and “cheesy” like Under Armour (that stuff looks like it belongs on a Halloween Costume if you wanted to dress up as a Super Hero). I hope you don’t promote that stuff…if so, delete that part of my post.

Anyway…the main reason I’m commenting here is to invite you to a really good Fitness Social Site. I have invited over a bunch of readers from my blog and we are having a good time over there.

I promise most of us dress sensibly!

  2. Thanks for the advice for menswear and thanks for the invite!! I’ll check it out!

  3. Womens Plus Size Clothes…

I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you….

  4. My absolute favorite – can’t-live-without workout pants are black capris made by “Life is Good”. (we sell that line at the gym I work at, but Scheels sells it too, as I’m sure other sports stores do). They have just the right amount of stetch – but more important a nice wide (read: flattering) waistline and enough structure to keep you from jiggling!
