Wacky Wednesday Challenge

I know for some people the thought of a long workout just isn’t appealing. For others, there is just not enough time in the day. But I know for a fact that everyone has at least 10 minutes a day to devote to a challenge! I have been posting challenges on my Fitness Forum site and the members there love it. When they know they just don’t have the motivation to workout out that day, I surprise them with a short little challenge that gets their heart rate up and boosts their metabolism for the day!

So, today’s challenge is:

*24 prisoner squats
*20 jumping jacks
*24 prisoner squats
*20 jumping jacks
*24 prisoner squats
*20 jumping jacks

  1. I find that once I’ve done even a few minutes, then I’m more motivated to keep going. My favourite is jumping rope and hula hooping for 3-5 minutes at a time, several times throughout the day. It all adds up!

  2. Ohh..hula hooping! I try teaching that to the kids and I look ridiculous! I think it looks like fun though!

  3. Okay, I’m not a woman, but can I still participate in Wacky Wednesday? I’m all about gender equity here.

    My killer 10 minute Wacky Wednesday Challenenge is the “Ten-Minute-Sprint.”

    Find a local high-school or middle-school track (or a nice green football field) and sprint as hard-as-you-can for 10 minutes. Sprint 100 yards, take a 60 second break to recover, and then sprint back in the other direction.

    By the end, you’re heart will be pounding, you’re blood will be pumping and your legs will feel like rubber, but you will have torched around 200 calories (depending on your weight.)
