Tuesday’s Tasty Recipe

001

I found this recipe online but changed a few things and I cannot tell you how delicious these are! My two favorite things mixed together to give me energy…LOVE it!

Recipe for Energy Balls:

1/2 cup natural peanut butter (smooth or chunky)

1 scoop of protein powder (28 grams) –I used chocolate

2 tsp agave nectar ( you could use sugar sub if you wanted)

3 tbsp flax seeds

4 tbsp chopped pecans

Mix and roll into balls. Roll balls in sesame seeds and place in pan to toast for few minutes.

I might try adding some dried fruit next time. Give them a try and let me know how you like them or how you created your own version!

  1. Looks yummy Angie!! Kinda looks like cookie dough! I’m going to try mine with banana protein. I’ll let you know how it turns out! :)

  2. Looks delicious! Did you grind the flax seeds first? I heard that you’re not supposed to eat whole flax seeds as they just pass by the digestive system and not absorbed in that form. I bet these would be great with some prunes! Thanks for sharing.

  3. @Shauna ~Yum. that sounds very good! I love that there are so many flavored protein powders to change the flavors plus add protein!

  4. @Anna ~ I didn’t grind the flaxseeds, but think I will next time as they keep getting stuck in my teeth! Ah..prunes..great idea!
