THE Perfect Morning…

I woke up with no alarm clock around 6:15 am. Layed in bed for a few minutes and thought about all the things I am thankful for. Got up and greeted my twitter friends, which is always a good thing!

I wasn’t sure what type of workout I was going to do until Sandy Sommer suggested a KB workout for me, which worked out perfect, as I spent too much time on twitter and had to get in a short but effective workout. I also wanted to try out my new KB. Now my collection is 9lb, 15lb, 20lb, and 26lb.

So here was my workout for this morning:

Swings x 20

Clean and Press x 3 (My cleans are getting ‘cleaner’)

Swings x 20

Clean and Front Squat x 5 ( struggled with these a bit..need to work on them)

Swings x 20

Turkish Get Up x 4 Alternating Sides (really don’t like this one..maybe cuz I don’t do it right? )

Swings x 20

High Pull x 10 ( another new one for me…but think I did alright)

Swings x 20

I used 20 lbs for swings and 15lbs for other exercises.

This was followed by intervals on the treadmill. One minute warm up (as I was already warmed up and my heart was pumping pretty hard) one minute at 6.0, one minute at 3.5 and repeat 5x, 2 minute cool down.

Total workout time: 20 minutes! Dang! Now wish I would have had my HR moniter on to see how many cals I burned!

I had a protein shake during my workout and after my workout was eggs with spinach, turkey sausage with sweet potatoes and I added some coconut oil to my coffee. Very yummy and filling breakfast!

Like I said..perfect morning….now I am off to train clients for a while.

  1. Glad you enjoyed it! I’ve found that intense brevity seems to be one of the keys to workout success!
