Tasty Tuesday Recipe
Last week I took the recipe from Craig Ballantyne’s blog for theĀ Chocolate Truffles and changed a couple things but boy oh boy were they delicious! Sorry the picture isn’t better, used my blackberry.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup almonds and 1/2 cup walnuts
- 3 tbsp of dark chocolate cocoa (unsweetened)
- 1/4 cup dates andĀ 2 TBSP of hazelenut agave nectar
- 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Dash of salt
- 1 Tbl. Raw Coconut Oil (this made them taste so delicious!!)
Blend all ingredients in food processor until almost smooth. Then I took a tablespoon and scooped it out and made into little balls and refrigerated. (Even though you can eat them right away). They were so rich in flavor that I only needed one! I do think next time I might add some peanut butter instead of the coconut oil, just because I love anything with chocolate and peanut butter!
Give um a try, I guarantee you will enjoy!
You can roll into balls and have as treats or crumble over fresh cut fruit.
