Setting Goals BEFORE The New Year
I know..most people wait until January before they decide to set some goals, but why wait? Let’s get a headstart and get through the holidays ahead of the rest!
Here are some good guidelines to help you set some goals:
1. List 5-7 behaviors that you need to improve or change that will help you to reach your goals.
*What should you be doing that you aren’t? What bad habits do you need to get rid of or what good habits should you start?
2. Focus on the first two things on your list (order your list from easiest to hardest).
*Spend 2 weeks just focusing on those goals and achieving them so that they become a habit!
3. Once those habits have been formed and you feel comfortable adding more, move on to the next 2 things on your list and so on.
I definitely have some behaviors I need to change, so here goes my list:
1-Make sure not to go longer than 3 hours without eating. (When I do, I tend to over eat and then eat junk!)
2-Make sure to get in my 3 bottles of water each day. (102 oz)
3-Stop working early enough at night so that I can fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow-stress-FREE
4-Plan out my meals each day, so that I am not hungry with no idea of what to eat!
5-Spend quality time with my husband…he needs to come first sometimes ;0)
6-Add more fruit to my diet on a daily basis–no need to be afraid of fruit anymore.
7-Take more time for ME at least 2x a week!

If you’d like a tool for setting your goals, you can use this web application:
http://www.Gtdagenda.com
You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version is available too.
I am going to try (not try, DO!!!) to be more consistent at meditating for stress relief
