Quick Belly Burning Cardio

I know there are a lot of people out there that dread doing cardio because they feel they need to do for an hour at a time to get any results, but they are just plainĀ  WRONG about that!

Cardio can be done in 3 minutes, 10 minutes ( my all time favorite), 20 minutes or 30 minutes. If you go beyond 30 minutes..well then its time to push yourself harder during those initial 30.

Just this morning I was dragging and really didn’t feel like doing any cardio, but looking back, it had been almost a week since I did any cardio on its own. So I thought to myself I could definitely get in 10 minutes and thats just what I did!

I did my intervals on the treadmill and it went like this:

2 minute warm up at 3.5mph

1 minute at 6.0 mph

1 minute at 3.5 mph

1 minute at 6.0 mph

1 minute at 3.5 mph

1 minute at 6.5 mph

1 minute at 3.5 mph

1 minute at 6.5 mph

2 minute cooldown.

Ok..so that was 12 minutes, but still! I usually push myself a little harder, up to 7.0mph, but my legs felt like dead weight, so I decided against it.

So was this effective as cardio? You betcha! I burned calories, elevated my heart rate, burned some belly fat and gave my metabolism a boost for the day! All in 12 minutes.

Cardio does not have to be boring! Change it up, do something different, try some tabatas. Those a good butt kicker! Keep it simple, but effective..now go burn some calories!
