Powdered Peanut Butter??

Powdered Peanut butterThis is my newest addition, Powdered Peanut Butter and Powdered Chocolate Peanut Butter. I first heard about these products from MizFitOnline, and then it still took me a while to be convinced to give it a try, but I did. I ordered both of them and absolutely LOVE them!

What the PB2 is, ispeanuts that are slow roasted and then pressed to remove the oil. Now I am not saying that the oil in regular peanut butter is bad for you, because its not, its a good fat to have in your diet. BUT if you want to add more protein to foods that are lacking in protein without adding a ton of calories, this is a good way to do that.

The ingredients in the Powdered Peanut Butter are: Peanuts, Sugar and Salt

Nutrition Facts: 2 TBSPĀ  has 53.2 cals

Fat: 1.87 grams

Carbs: 3.4 grams

Protein 5.65 grams

Compare this to my Adams 100% Natural Peanut butter ingredients: Peanuts and Salt

Nutrition Facts: 2 TBSP has 210 cals

Fat: 16 grams

Carbs: 6grams

Protein: 8grams

Chocolate PB2 ingredients are: chocolate, cocoa, sugar and salt

Nutrition Facts: 2 TBSP has 52.5 cals

Fat: 1.42 grams

Carbs: 6.0 grams

Protein: 3.85 grams

So far I have used both the PB2 and Chocolate PB2 in shakes and mixed together with apples. I have looked at some of the recipes on the Bell Plantation website and might have to give some of them a try. But as you know, I like to make up my own recipes, so I will be doing some experimenting and will get back to you on the things I come up with! In the meantime, go get yourself come PB2 and try it out yourself!
