Most intense workout I have ever done!
If you have been following me on facebook, you might know that this past weekend I went to a Bootcamp Bootcamp in Lousville, KY! I left Thursday morning, was up at 4:30 and got in a workout before I left! Was super excited and pumped to go and learn how to grow my boot camp business!
After we checked into hotel, we looked to see what the schedule was for the weekend. 7am workout was the first thing scheduled. Now it I was back at home, that wouldn’t have been bad, I could have slept in until 6:30am and got plenty of sleep, but since they were 2 hours ahead of CO time, I was actually getting up at 4:30 am! Yes, it made for a very long day!
Here shows the room we were doing the workout in. This is not the same workout, as there were lots of hands on training during the 2 days, but wanted to show you just where we were. There were probably about 50 people down for the first workout.
We started out with acceleration and deceleration drills (in other words…INTENSE cardio!) with Dave the Band Man!We were were partnered up and then were both inside a band. One would be running high knees as the other was giving them resistance and then we would switch. So you were ALWAYS working either pulling against resistance or giving resistance. We did side shuffles (both directions) high knee running and leaf frog. Almost landed on face a few times with the leap frog! We did this continuous for what seemed like forever, but I think it was about 10-15 minutes? As I was already out of breath and dying they announced that now it was time for the circuit part. I was like “what?? ” Seriously, already dying..lol!
The circuit was done 30 seconds of work followed by 30 seconds of rest and done to workout muse. We did band and KB exercises. I was paired up with a group of 3 guys, so of course I had to show them just how much I could do. Picking the heaviest KB I thought I could handle. Here is what the circuit consisted of:
1. KB snatch pull with thumb flip through ( yea can’t remember what they called it)
2. KB Swings
3. Push ups with bands across back for added resistance OR chest press with bands
4. KB goblet squat
5. Band Squat Press
6. Squat Row with partner
** I lost my partner after the first round, so had to partner up with Dan the band man himself! Yikes..then I definitely had to push myself beyond my limits!
(Found a video Tyler did showing the exercises we were doing..check it out here.)
We did 4 rounds of this and before my last round, I had to go out and get a Prograde Workout shake, as I was feeling light headed and thought I was going to pass out. But it was my own fault, I didn’t have time to get anything to eat before the workout, so I know it was due to the intensity of the workout and no fuel in my body. Seriously felt like I was ready to drop when we had finished. But it was so awesome! I LOVED every second of it, even when I had to really focus and just make it to the end of the exercise! That is how a workout should ALWAYS be! The only downfall, no time to stretch, as we had to shower, eat and be back within one hour. So I suffered for …well still suffering, in that my quads have never before been this sore! Moving is getting easier, but going down stairs is what his the most difficult and our home is 3 levels. Yea..lots of stairs.
So, just remember to do as I say, not as I do: Eat before your workout and make sure to stretch afterwards!

i dont have the motivation to exercise!! kudos to you
Awesome post. Circuit training can be really intense (like Crossfit).
These are the types of workouts that shed a ton of weight fast because they are so intense.
You have inspired me to really push it in my next work out. I’ve been slacking!
