How To Get Back On Track

Carmel and AngFor some of you regulars, you might have noticed that it has been quiet here for almost a week. I took off to visit a friend last Thursday until Sunday. It was a well needed get away! It was all about relaxing and taking some time away from work and fitness. While we did a LOT of fitness talk and ate pretty well, we mostly just relaxed and talked. It’s so nice to have someone who is so into fitness as I am!

So, come Monday, it was time to get back on track. Sometimes that might not always be an easy thing to do. First off, I was exhausted. I got home late Sunday night and was very tired Monday morning. I had a very busy day Monday also, which I wasn’t really looking forward to. My day started at 5:30am, because I had to train a client at the gym at 6 am. But, even as tired as I was, when I got home, instead of telling myself ” I just want to go back to bed” I said, ” I at least need to do 10 minutes of something and I know I will feel much better all day long!” So I did. I did some Forward lunges with MB press x 10 alternating with 20 KB swings. I did this 3x through and then jumped in the shower, ready to start my day.

My body is feeling old today though! Not only from taking 4 days off from working out, but also sitting for long periods of time and sleeping on an air mattress, its just not that good for an old lady like me! LOL

I did get up this morning and did Workout B of DB-KB Superset Fusion workout and felt great afterwards. For some reason I am struggling through my push ups. Guess its time to start doing more of them (or get back to that 100 push ups challenge that I am not doing very well with keeping up).

So while it might be a slooooow journey to getting back for me, I know I will get there soon. I just have to make sure when I go to see my family in MN in a couple weeks to stay on track and keep up with my workouts while I am there.
