Have You Ever Tried To “Fast” to Lose Weight?
Well, me either. At least not to lose weight. I have done them to “clean out my system” and “help regain my self control” though. All week I had been planning on doing a 2 day detox/cleanse, where for the first day, I will only put liquids in my body. Mostly water with lemon or lime, tea and watered down juice. The second day I add some steamed veggies, but thats it. I always come out feeling tons better, having more energy and stamina and have more control over what I put into my body. I try to do them every 4 months or so.
Yesterday, I stumbled onto a book called Eat, Stop, Eat, by Brad Pilon. I wanted to know more about the book and discovered that Craig Ballantyne had done a phone interview with Brad and had it posted on TTmembers.com forums. The book has to do with fasting 24 hours 1-2 x per week instead of restricting your calories each week to help with weight and fat loss. I did purchase the book, but haven’t had time to read it yet. But after I do, I will for sure give you my review of it and let you know if its worth a buy!
