Great Kettlebell Circuit

So I decided I am going to try and post my workouts here as often as I can. I have had a lot going on in my life the past month and have sort of let my diet get the best of me, so today I set a new goal and plan to kick butt with workouts and nutrition and the best way for me to do that is to post it here.

I understand when I hear others say, “I just don’t have the time to plan my meals” and I get this, I totally do! That is what has happened to me the past month or so. Running two businesses, and trying to grow one, plus normal everyday stuff, along with all the stuff I do online, it gets to be insane at times! You tend to fall off track a few times and then a few more and before you know it, you in stuck in a rut. Well, right now I am in that rut. I have been eating whatever I can find in the house, not always the best choices or eating too often or not enough.

So now I am back to my routine, and I prepared a bunch of foods last night to get me ready for this week. All while I was watching a toddler, so I KNOW it can be done with a crazy, hectic life and kids. While I was making supper, I just started going crazy getting cutting things, grilling things and putting them all in containers.

Pre prepared veggies and meals(Red peppers-chopped, cucumbers-chopped, browned ground turkey with jalepenos, zucchinni-cut up, mixed veggies-steamed) I also grilled up some turkey burgers, veggie burgers and chicken breast, and hard boiled some eggs. Now there should not be any reason for me to choose junk this week!

My workout for this morning was a Kettlbell circuit from the Kettle Belle Body from my friend Caroline Radway ebook. (I plan to do an interview with her for my Fit Chick Express Monthly Workout Club coming soon). I worked out with a client and we used Workout Muse and did 50 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest and repeated 4 circuits, the last circuit being all core work.  Great workout and it only took us 25 minutes. Perfect! I need to start wearing my HR moniter to see how many calories I am burning during our workouts.

So my goal this week, NO cheat meal until Saturday (its my bday!!) Be conscious of what I am eating and schedule proper times to eat my meals, not just mindlessly passing by the kitchen. I know all of what I need to do is in what and how I am eating. I also plan to cut back on starchy carbs and get in lots of fresh fibrous veggies in its place. I also plan to add back in some interval training. I have not done any in over a month other than what is in my workouts and Fit Chick Express classes. I am SO ready to burn some fat and drop a few pounds and inches!

Have you set your weekly goal? If looking at a month or 3 months to set your goals, why not start slow and just set goals for one week. Come on..you can do it! Let me know what your goals are for this week!
