Fat Burning Cardio
It has been about 5 months since I have done any cardio on a machine. But due to lack of boot camp last week, I decided I should try to get some other cardio into my routine. Since doing boot camp, I haven’t done any extra cardio, because believe me, the cardio in the workouts are enough. No extra cardio needed!
My plan was to do intervals on the treadmill, and I was a little afraid, since it had been so long! But I actually did quite well! Started at 5.0 for 2 intervals, them moved to 5.5 and then to 6.0 for total of 6 intervals, 1 minute high, 1 minute low. I felt great during and after! So I did them again yesterday morning! Now, I NEVER thought I would say this, but I did miss them! Probably just because it was something a little different.
I really do think that the boot camp workouts have helped my endurance. After not doing intervals for so long, I would have expected to be really winded, but had no trouble at all with my breathing! It was great! Then I went and did boot camp last night and while it was hard, I felt great afterwards!

I think I just keep doing the intervals a couple times a week….just to change things up..until I get bored with them again!

My newest favorite interval training on the treadmill is doing one of slower jogging (5.5), one song skipping at either 4.5 or 5.0 and one of running (6.0-6.5). I’m not sure if it’s fat burning, but I definitely feel it.
