Do You Plan A Cheat Day or Cheat Meal?
Restricting calories to lose weight can be difficult sometimes. We all get cravings and sometimes find it very difficult to not have a “nibble of this” or a “nibble of that”.
So how can we get through week after week of clean, healthy eating? Plan a cheat day or cheat meal. Now this doesn’t mean that you can eat all the foods you have cravings for in one day…but pick one. Plan a day where you can eat that pizza you have been craving or that brownie that you wanted so badly! Try not to go overboard or you will regret it. The saying is that if you eat 90% of your meals healthy, there is nothing wrong with having that slice of pie once per week …but make sure to limit it to one slice.

I’ve used a “free day” for years and find it helps keep me sane when trying to lose weight.
My favorite free meal has to be pizza with a chocolate chaser…mmmm
An evil cheat meal are those “2 for 99 cent” Tacos at Jack in the Box. They are completely terrible for you, full of grease and calories…but I really enjoy them! I eat a couple of those about once every two months.
I also like those Johnsonville Chedder Dogs…the bratwurst filled with cheese! Could it get much worse? I’ll eat those 2-3 times in the summer.
Swedish Fish, Skittles, Red Vines, Starburst…about once a month when I go to the movies.
Those super cheap Totinos frozen pizzas. I eat one of those about every other month.
Dairy Queen Dipped Cones…2-3 per year.
Salt and Vinegar Pringles or Cool Ranch Doritos, once in a blue moon.
I could go on, but if I continue…someone is going to take my Fitness Blog away from me!
Even fit people crave junk food…LOL!
