Do You Ever Feel Like NOT Working Out?
Well, for some people that is more often than not, but for me, it a very rare occasion that I don’t feel like working out. This morning was one of those days. I had a client coming to train at 6am, so I was going to get up and do intervals before she came. Thing is, I was so worried I would oversleep and not be awake when she got here, I didn’t sleep very well last night, so I was very tired this morning. Needless to say, no intervals for me, but my client got in a good workout!
So what can a person do to get themselves motivated to workout when they are just feeling tired, bored, or just plain don’t want to do it?
What works for me most times is visualization. I visualize what I will feel like and look like if I decide just to lay in bed and then what I could look like if I get my butt out of bed and workout! Believe me, I am getting out of bed about 6 days out of 7 and even sometimes all 7.
I also think about how much better and much more energy I have when I DO get up and workout and how many more calories I will be burning throughout the day just by exercising first thing in the morning.
What things can you do or do you do to help you get motivated to get out of bed and get in some exercise??
If you do make that decision to not workout in the morning what else can you do? Workout in the evening, which is what I plan to do tonight, to make up for my lost workout this morning. Even squeezing in a 15 minute bodyweight workout can just enough to help you achieve your fitness goals.
