A Look Into My World

my lifeSo I just thought I would let my readers enter my world and what has been going on with my life lately. I have been doing Full-Time Childcare for about 6 years, here in Colorado. Last July, I got Certified as a Personal Trainer and s-l-o-w-l-y started getting clients at home. I then contacted some local gyms and got hired at Fitness 19. They were very flexible, telling me that I could take on as many or as little clients as I wanted, which was good, because I was still doing daycare from 7:30-5:15. Before I knew it, I had 7 clients at the gym and some home clients. I was working 60+ hours a week, Sunday being my only day off. All of this, in addition to my online work–WDF Blog, WDF Website and whatever else I could find to do online!

Well, in the last couple months, I made the decision that I just would not could not do this anymore! I really loved both of my jobs, but I just could not go on working this many hours. So I decided to cut my daycare hours to just mornings and transition it to a Morning Preschool Program for kids ages 2-5 and then use the afternoons to train my clients. What this meant was that the full-time children I did have would have to find somewhere else to go. This was one of the toughest decisions I have had to make. 2 of the children have been with me since they were both 6 months old and they were now 3 and 5.

Things just started happening, like I was getting all these signs slapping me in the face showing me that I was on the right track and I was making all the right decisions. Now it seems that I might be totally done with daycare. I only have 2 children that would be coming to the morning preschool program, and that just wont’ work when it comes to finances. I am still going to try and market the Morning Preschool Program until the end of June, because I truly LOVE working with children and not having any of my own yet, it will be a very hard transition to not be around children.

So, you might be asking WHY I am telling you all of this? Well, I am sure you have noticed a lot of guest posts and that is due to the fact that I have had absolutely NO time to devote to the blog. BUT that is all going to be changing and I am so excited! So, while my time with the daycare is dwindling down and my time starts to open up, I would LOVE to hear from my readers about things that you would like more of my posts to be about. If you have any fitness or nutrition questions, email me and I will answer them in my posts! I am will be here for you to help you achieve all your fitness and health goals!
